Balboa Golf Course or Coronado Golf Course?

Balboa Golf Course or Coronado Golf Course?
Fitness & Sports 6 answers • Dmitri Alexeev
I'm looking for some advice on which golf course to play at in San Diego. I've heard great things about both Balboa and Coronado, but I'm not sure which one would be better for a round of golf. Any golfers out there have a preference?

Coronado offers a more intimate ocean experience, whereas Balboa provides a broader cityscape view. However, Coronado's proximity to the water is a significant advantage.

I'd recommend Balboa for the challenge and Coronado for the vibes.

Balboa hole 4 is probably the most hated hole in SD.

Depends on what you're looking for...if you're up for a challenge, Balboa. If you're trying to have a chill round, Coronado is a way easier course.

I've played at Coronado a few times, but the last two times I went it wasn't a friendly vibe. The locals can be pretty unfriendly, and it's not exactly welcoming. Balboa is a muni and they'll let you know it, but I'd choose that one over Coronado any day.

Coronado is ideal for those who want to be right by the water and enjoy the views, but be prepared for some rather insufferable locals. On the other hand, Balboa offers a more laid-back atmosphere and a challenging golf course, with the famous hill that demands precision and skill.
