Metal Supermarkets is a good place to start looking for custom metal weights. You can source brass half-round stock or have round stock cut in half lengthwise. They may be able to cut the stock to the lengths you need, as per the customer's requirements. You can visit their website or check their store in Calgary for more information.

Video Game Trader in Bonavista mall is one of the best retro gaming stores I’ve ever seen and I’ve visited a lot around the country. They have lots of nice little displays with high value stuff in them and plenty of inventory for pretty much every console in history if you’re looking for anything specific.
Nanao Kimono has beautiful handmade items. While mostly over $10, some little things like Japanese bath minerals and candies can be found there, making it worth a visit.
There is an awesome cat-exclusive store called Whiskers & Whimsy on 17 Avenue SW! It just opened a month or two ago and has two floors of kitty-centric goodness. Super friendly people, locally owned and operated, and genuinely super cool, unique stuff for your cats.
