Your biggest expense will be rent. Furnished one-bedroom apartments or serviced rooms near the beach or city center run between $230 and $500 per month. I currently pay $230 for a serviced room that includes 24/7 front desk, cleaning twice weekly, and internet. It is a 90-second walk to the beach.

Utilities Breakdown

• Electricity: $33-70 per month (averaged around $51). This goes up significantly in summer when you run AC constantly.
