Will Walmart coming to southcenter mall cause traffic and parking issues?

I just heard that Walmart is opening a two-level store in southcenter mall in 2028 and I'm worried about the traffic and parking problems it will cause. I think it's going to be a nightmare.

If Hudson Bay were to relocate to the side of the parking lot, it would be a welcome change. The area is usually deserted, with ample space for parking.

One of the issues with the current parking lot layout is that it can be challenging to exit the area. You often have to drive around half the mall to find a way out.

Why not keep Walmart as a standalone store and bring in a new anchor tenant? The one mall in the city I enjoy for its peaceful atmosphere, for instance, will likely become even quieter with the addition of a busy retailer like Walmart.

A quiet mall is often a sign of financial struggles. However, Walmart is a reliable and stable tenant that can help to revitalize the area.

I'm extremely disappointed in the decision to bring in a new, lower-end tenant at Southcentre. This move will likely lead to a decline in the overall quality of the mall, making it a less desirable destination for shoppers.

I'm calling on Simons to take notice of the situation and consider opening a location in this area.
