I've been noticing peanut shells everywhere, even in my front yard and on the sidewalk. It started with finding them in my backyard, which I thought was just from the previous owners. Now I'm wondering if it's something more.

People feed squirrels peanuts in their feeders. This is probably why you're finding them everywhere.

A nearby resident has a squirrel feeder, which leads to the magpies bringing them to my bird bath. I've seen the magpies carrying the squirrels in their beaks.

I'm pretty sure the squirrels my dad feeds peanuts to are stuffing them in the neighbors' eavestroughs. I'm not going to climb onto his roof to investigate.

Previous owners are probably feeding the squirrels, they're the ones moving the shells around.

It's likely the squirrels and/or Blue Jays that are scattering the peanut shells around.

I think someone nearby has a bird and squirrel feeder, and the animals are everywhere. I've noticed them near my place too.

My neighbor feeds peanuts to the birds, and the bluejays are hiding them all over my yard, including in bushes, pots, and even in the dirt. It's a never-ending problem.
