How to report vandalism in Calgary?

How to report vandalism in Calgary?
Services 5 answers • rocio
I was parking in a grocery store in SE Calgary and someone got upset with me because I was parked a bit too close to the line. They spat on my car and I'm just appalled. I'm wondering if there's any way to report this incident or get compensation for the damage. I've got the license plate number of the person who did it.

The way people react to poor parking in this community is often extreme and unjustified. They justify and normalize petty, vindictive behavior, such as vandalizing vehicles or loosening tire fill valves. This kind of reaction is not only unacceptable, but it also sets a bad precedent.

Feeling morally justified can be a powerful motivator, but it's no excuse for harming others. In fact, it's often a sign of a deeper problem, such as a lack of empathy or a sense of entitlement.

While it's understandable to be upset about someone spitting on your car, it's equally frustrating when people who park poorly try to play the victim. They often downplay their own mistakes and shift the blame to others.

Sorry to hear, even a valued city worker doesn't even get respect on the road while you guys are a huge part of the community. I've been driving for 18 years and I'm still experiencing from others road rage, I've had assholes pass me speeding in a playground zone too.

After driving professionally in Calgary for about twenty five years, I'm starting to feel burnt out. A recent incident where a driver passed another car in a playground zone to follow a transit bus on 17th Avenue SW really highlighted the issue. It's clear that some drivers are more concerned with getting ahead than with safety.
