I graduated from electrician school in the summer and got my helper's license quickly to start looking for a job. I've applied to many companies, but they don't post salaries and don't respond. I've also applied to stores, but they all say the same thing: 'Due to your preparation and experience being in other areas, we're going to look for another candidate.' Do I need to be an expert to work with a cash register or to pass a mapo test?

If you're a licensed electrician, look for a company like 100 ventures to help you set up your business and start promoting yourself. You can also work as a handyman. You don't need to get hired by someone, you can follow your own path.

Make two resumes. One super professional for electrician work and the other for applying to regulated jobs like in stores. Unfortunately, this is how it is.

I did it and like you said. When I made it, they said they wanted people with experience in retail.

Where did you graduate from, if I may ask? I studied HVAC at Mech Tech and they themselves got me a job through the practice. Maybe the school you graduated from has available spots or contacts.
