Budare, voz de origen taíno caribeño relacionados con las palabras aripo y burén. La forma en que lo usamos actualmente es utilizada desde el siglo XVIII. Se trata de una plancha circular de barro o de hierro que se usa para cocer alimentos, como la arepa y el casabe. Esta mezcla cultural no es casualidad cuando decidimos llamarnos por este nombre para nuestro homenaje gastronómico venezolano en Puerto Rico
