What are the average apartment rental prices in Panama City?

I'm considering buying an apartment in Río Abajo and renting out one of the rooms. My partner and I would live in the other room and share the common areas. We're looking for advice on what price to consider reasonable to charge per month, and what amenities to include to make it attractive to potential renters. If anyone has experience renting in that area or has shared an apartment, I'd appreciate their feedback.

If you're moving to that area, I recommend you look for a safe zone, because there's a lot of trouble and killings there. It's a shame that they end up killing innocent people.

I've noticed changes in some parts of Río Abajo, where new buildings are popping up, such as one on Discovery Avenue and another near Gruta Azul. The Barracas are disappearing, and those lots are being bought up for industrial development and parking, slowly transforming the area into an extension of Hato Pintado or the part of town near Parque Lefevre.

Yes, the apartment isn't in the inner area of Río Abajo, it's near the main road of Vía España. In Panama, robberies can happen anywhere, even in the best areas.

Be more specific, as Río Abajo has various streets, and it's not the same as safer areas versus less safe ones. The type of building also makes a difference, whether it's modern with amenities or old without any. In my building, which is modern and well-located, the rent is around 600-700 dollars a month. If you divide that by two, it would be 300-350 dollars per person. If the building is older, the rent could be lower, but I don't think it would be less than 250 dollars.
