When does it feel right to turn on the heat in Montreal?

I've been noticing my thermostat says 16° in the morning, but it gets to about 19° during the day with the sun shining through. I feel like it's too soon to turn on my heat, but I'm wondering when others do.

Not yet, it's still blanket season!

I find it hard to sleep in a room that's too warm, so I keep the AC on to maintain a comfortable temperature.

My place is still getting quite warm, even with the thermostat set to a relatively cool temperature.

If you live in a place with a lot of sunlight, even in the winter it can get quite warm without heating.
