The NYPL hosts a few adult animanga clubs! One of them is biweekly on Wednesdays at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library, which is a nice spot to study and has a nearby Kinokuniya bookstore.

Albertine is worth a visit, even if they might not have your book, due to its unique features. It is the largest French bookstore in the country, located inside the former Payne-Whitney Mansion on Fifth Avenue. Inside, you'll find a statue of Le Petit Prince sitting outside on a low wall, and if you go upstairs, you'll be treated to a gorgeous hand-painted zodiac ceiling.
LaGuardia High School offers a unique opportunity to students, with the option to test into or audition for specialty schools like the performing arts. My kid goes to LaGuardia, performing arts school by Lincoln Center. That was the subject of the movie Fame. Lots of trips to Broadway and drama class.
NYPL Stavros offers free classes in Spanish and French, as well as plant exchanges. It's worth checking out the various branches of the New York Public Library around the city, as they may have other free or low-cost classes and events.
