I'm a small woman who lives in a different part north of Quebec and visit Montreal once a week to meet people. I've had some negative interactions with strangers in the metro, including one incident where a man tugged on my jacket sleeve and asked if I was getting off at a station. I'm looking for advice on how to stay safe while using the metro.
I run a small taco stand in Montréal and I think a REM station at St Charles Boulevard would really benefit the West Island branch. It's surrounded by houses and businesses, and there are new apartments being built nearby, and there is empty land at the northwest corner of the A40 and St-Charles intersection that could be used to build both a station and more apartments. Right now, the Kirkland and Fairview Pointe-Claire REM stations are both rather far and hard to get to for people who live near St-Charles.
I've been experiencing issues with the REM train service in Montreal, including delays and overcrowding. I'm frustrated that the service is not living up to its promises and I want to know how to report this to the relevant authorities.
I'm visiting Montreal with my family and we don't have a car seat. Can we take Uber with our kids without one, or will they refuse to take us? Is it safe to take a taxi without a car seat?
I love cycling, but the UCI World Championship is causing chaos in Montreal. Roads are blocked, buses are detoured, and it's affecting my daily commute. I'm at a loss as to why the organizers thought this was a good idea.
