I'm moving to Montreal from Eastern Ontario and want to surround myself with more French speakers. I've heard the Plateau is a bit too anglophone, so I'd like some recommendations.

Petite-Patrie, Hochelaga, and Verdun are good choices.

I live on the Plateau, and it's becoming more anglophone. I wouldn't recommend it, even without the disclaimer. Hochelaga and Verdun are my top choices.
