Halloween is back in full force in New York City, with 160 car-free streets providing safe and festive spaces for trick-or-treating and other spooky activities. This year, the Department of Transportation (DOT) has expanded the popular 'Trick-or-Streets' initiative, making it the largest scale in the city's history.

The mayor's words are echoed in the diverse range of events across the five boroughs, from Brooklyn's Hillel Plaza to Manhattan's Canal Street.

For those with children, there's even a chance to get creative with the DOT's collaboration with Street Lab and NYC Public Schools.
