When Patrick Murphy first mentioned Togal.AI to me in 2022, artificial intelligence was still a topic that required some explanation. Fast forward to 2026, and AI and Togal have become household names in the Miami startup scene. Now, with backing from Miami’s own Lightning Capital, Togal is pushing the boundaries of AI in construction technology.

Miami’s AI Boom: Togal.AI and Lightning Capital Are Betting on the Future

As a new expat in Miami, I find this development particularly exciting. Togal’s mission to use AI to predict how buildings will be constructed from early-stage plans is impressive. The company has already amassed over 32 million labeled construction plans and counts 97 of the 400 largest contractors in the U.S. as customers. This makes Togal a formidable player in the industry.

Lightning Capital, led by Managing Partner Jason Albanese, is betting big on Togal. Their investment is not just about the technology but about the execution and the team behind it. This partnership showcases the growing ecosystem in Miami, where startups can find the capital, connections, and operating experience they need.

For me, this means that as an expat, I can see real progress being made in tech, and there’s a growing community of like-minded individuals to connect with. If you’re a tech enthusiast or a business owner, keep an eye on Togal.AI and Lightning Capital. Their work could significantly impact how we build and operate in the future.
