When Patrick Murphy first mentioned Togal.AI to me in 2022, artificial intelligence was still a topic that required some explanation. Fast forward to 2026, and AI and Togal have become household names in the Miami startup scene. Now, with backing from Miami’s own Lightning Capital, Togal is pushing the boundaries of AI in construction technology.

As a new expat in Miami, I find this development particularly exciting. Togal’s mission to use AI to predict how buildings will be constructed from early-stage plans is impressive. The company has already amassed over 32 million labeled construction plans and counts 97 of the 400 largest contractors in the U.S. as customers. This makes Togal a formidable player in the industry.
