Navicula took to the stage at the Legian community GKLKF, bringing an old energy with a new twist. The band, half of which is new since I last saw them, played with renewed vigor, blasting out their tunes on the massive beach stage. It was a nostalgic night filled with good vibes and great music. The event was part of a mini-sized food fest in the Legian area, which, despite being now 'chilled' and less crowded, still holds a special place in the hearts of many locals and expats. If you're a fan of the band or just looking to soak in the Legian vibe, it's definitely worth a visit.

The new Zumana in Kuta is a sight to behold. As you step into the venue, the panoramic view of Sunset Bay Kuta and the Indian Ocean bursts into sight, creating a truly breathtaking entrance. The venue is a smooth blend of daylife, dining, and nightlife, with beachfront daybeds, poolside spaces, and an open-air dance floor that overlooks the ocean. DJs are strategically placed under and inside the monumental 10-meter sculpture, Zenía, designed by internationally acclaimed artist Daniel Popper. The design by Rockwell Group ensures that the experience is not just visually stunning but also practical and immersive, making it a spot for anyone in the area. Zumana offers a grand opening event on September 25 and 26, featuring a stellar lineup of DJs. Being in Kuta, it faces the challenge of competing with the more established areas like Uluwatu and Seminyak. However, its strong brand and the quality of the venue, from design to staff, make it a compelling destination. For those looking for a night out with a view, Zumana is the perfect choice.

Friday evening, from sunset, The Longest Table record attempt was happening out the front and on the beach of Le Bleu Beachfront Restaurant. Right between the two islands of Nusa Dua Beach, an enormous table of approximately 60 metres length was set up to accommodate 120 people. What an amazing spectacle. I believe the record was broken, smiles, laughter and conversations were aplenty and I must say, I don’t know how many fancy dinners around the place I have attended over the years, but this one took the hat, in concept, design, spectacle and execution, a beautiful evening on the beach. However, one guest, Klaus Schmidt, famous music videographer turned and asked me, ‘Where’s your girlfriend, mate?’ Good question. I think at those moments you do actually need one around! If you're looking for a romantic spot of fine-dining with the biggest moon overhead, Le Bleu Beachfront Restaurant is the place to be.
