Friday evening, from sunset, The Longest Table record attempt was happening out the front and on the beach of Le Bleu Beachfront Restaurant. Right between the two islands of Nusa Dua Beach, an enormous table of approximately 60 metres length was set up to accommodate 120 people. What an amazing spectacle. I believe the record was broken, smiles, laughter and conversations were aplenty and I must say, I don’t know how many fancy dinners around the place I have attended over the years, but this one took the hat, in concept, design, spectacle and execution, a beautiful evening on the beach. However, one guest, Klaus Schmidt, famous music videographer turned and asked me, ‘Where’s your girlfriend, mate?’ Good question. I think at those moments you do actually need one around! If you're looking for a romantic spot of fine-dining with the biggest moon overhead, Le Bleu Beachfront Restaurant is the place to be.
