Due Course Brings Unique Culinary Experiences to Ubud and Beyond
After years of exploring Ubud and beyond, I recently had the opportunity to participate in Due Course Bali’s first Providore Series, a unique dining experience that celebrates the island’s culinary and cultural scenes. Founded by Seminyak’s dining pioneers, this platform promises a one-of-a-kind evening, focusing on a single Balinese ingredient each time.
The first edition of Due Course centered around the heritage black pig, a significant ingredient in Balinese cuisine. The event, held at KU DE TA, featured a diverse and impressive lineup of chefs, including Will Meyrick and Jeremy Hunt, who crafted a shared feast that showcased the pig's versatility. The evening was not just a meal but a journey through the cultural significance of this breed.
What sets Due Course apart is its commitment to inviting the right people, those who truly appreciate and understand the depth of Balinese food and culture. From the sunset setting to the meticulously curated menu, this experience is a must-try for anyone looking to delve deeper into the island's culinary offerings.
As an expat who has called Ubud home for over a decade, I can attest to the growing variety of dining experiences available. Due Course adds a new layer of sophistication and authenticity to the local food scene, making it a highlight for both residents and visitors alike.
10 years in Ubud after a decade of saying it was temporary. Argentine originally.
