After years of exploring Ubud and beyond, I recently had the opportunity to participate in Due Course Bali’s first Providore Series, a unique dining experience that celebrates the island’s culinary and cultural scenes. Founded by Seminyak’s dining pioneers, this platform promises a one-of-a-kind evening, focusing on a single Balinese ingredient each time.
The first edition of Due Course centered around the heritage black pig, a significant ingredient in Balinese cuisine. The event, held at KU DE TA, featured a diverse and impressive lineup of chefs, including Will Meyrick and Jeremy Hunt, who crafted a shared feast that showcased the pig's versatility. The evening was not just a meal but a journey through the cultural significance of this breed.
