Explore Warsaw's Art Scene at Gallery Weekend
For one September weekend, Warsaw's contemporary art scene throws open its doors and invites the whole city inside. Returning for its 16th edition, Warsaw Gallery Weekend runs September 18-20, bringing exhibitions, openings and encounters with artists to galleries and independent spaces across the capital.

The pleasure of WGW has always been in the wandering. Rather than concentrating everything beneath one roof, the event turns Warsaw itself into the venue, sending visitors between established galleries, smaller spaces and addresses they might otherwise never discover.
Among this year’s presentations are Aneta Grzeszykowska (Raster), Paulina Ołowska (Fundacja Galerii Foksal), Koji Kamoji (Szydłowski), Zofia Pałucha (HOS) and Karolina Bielawska (Wschód). For an Insider route through the weekend, three longtime favorites stand out: Fundacja Galerii Foksal, presenting Ołowska’s Three Colors; Jednostka, always worth watching for its sharp eye on contemporary photography and visual culture; and Instytut Fotografii Fort (IFF), where Michał Siarek brings the remote Norwegian landscape into focus.
More than an art event, WGW is one of those weekends when Warsaw feels particularly alive: grab the free guidebook, choose a neighborhood and start walking.
