What to do in Toronto for a short visit?

I'm visiting Toronto for a 16-hour layover and want to explore the city. I'll be arriving at 16:00 on the 30th of October and departing at 06:00 the next day. I have a backpack and a moderate budget.

You'll have 16 hours to kill, which is a lot of time. You can take the train from Pearson to Union Station, then walk to the CN Tower and check it out. After that, grab a dinner at one of the many restaurants in the area, considering your budget and food preferences. You could also head to a club or lounge, especially since it's Halloween weekend. Don't forget to stash your luggage somewhere.

I believe there's luggage storage available at the Union Station UP location, possibly also at the airport, but I'm not sure about their operating hours. It's worth looking into, though.

Airport luggage storage only opens at 5am, which might not be enough time to retrieve your luggage before your flight. However, I've heard that there are 24/7 luggage storage options available in the city, but I don't know the specific name of the service.

In the fall, Toronto gets darker quite quickly. By 7pm, it's already completely dark outside. Given this, any outdoor sightseeing plans might be a bit challenging. A good option could be visiting the CN Tower, which is an iconic landmark in the city. Its exterior glows, so you can still see it, and you can also go up to the observation deck to take a look around.
