Top Trick-or-Treat Neighborhoods in Toronto: Where the Spooky Vibes and Candy Are
With a warm October weekend ahead, it's time to don your best costume and hit the streets for some Halloween fun! As an accountant who has been working in Toronto for six years, I’ve noticed that the city offers a mix of neighborhoods that are perfect for trick-or-treating. From family-friendly projections to haunted cemeteries, here are the top spots where you and your little ghosts and goblins can hit the candy jackpot.

Farrell Road
Head to 356 Farrell Rd. for a Halloween experience that’s out of this world. This neighborhood has a spooky, fun-for-all-ages projection display featuring over 20 different projections and two hours of original content. Whether you’re catching the show for the first time or returning for more, it’s a must-see for families and a great way to support SickKids. The show runs for two hours, making it perfect for a family outing.
Thornhill Woods
Since 2004, 1 Krisbury Ave. in Thornhill has been hosting a haunted cemetery scene that’s sure to give you chills. This neighborhood gem combines scares with heart, encouraging donations to local hospitals like Cortelluci Hospice Vaughan. This year, the haunt will be an outdoor fright fest running from October 28 to 31, from 6 to 10 p.m. Perfect for thrill-seekers and families, the outdoor setup is a safe and eerie treat for Halloween night.
Forest Hill
For those looking for a safe and candy-loaded adventure, Forest Hill is the place to be. This upscale neighborhood turns into a mini-haunted village with tree-lined streets and homeowners who go all out on Halloween decor. Full-size candy bars are a common sight, and the kid-friendly vibe makes it a favorite among families. The low-traffic streets and well-lit sidewalks make it a relaxed and fun environment for trick-or-treating.
High Park
High Park offers a unique Halloween experience with its Howl at the Moon event. While not as extensive as some of the other neighborhoods, the event is still a fun and family-friendly option. The event features a haunted trail and music, making it a great way to celebrate Halloween in the park.
