Heated Rivalry’s Fictional Charity Takes Root in Real Life
The real-life Irina Foundation, inspired by the [Heated Rivalry] TV series, was officially launched by Accent Aigu Entertainment. The foundation aims to support LGBTQIA2S+ and underserved communities with a focus on mental health and inclusive programs.
The organization's first major donor, Kate Spade New York, was announced at the Kate Spade Global Summit on Women’s Mental Health. The foundation's co-founders, Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov, made the surprise announcement with their castmates.
Accent Aigu Entertainment's Jacob Tierney and Brendan Brady co-founded the foundation, which will help existing nonprofits that offer sports and arts programs for underrepresented communities. The name Irina Foundation was chosen to honor the character's influence on the show's message of inclusion and support.
The foundation's official launch marks a significant step towards turning the fictional charity into a real-world organization, following the show's emotional storyline and its impact on viewers.
