City or outskirts in Sayulita?

City or outskirts in Sayulita?

I'm planning a trip to Sayulita in December with my young adult children (18-23). We'll be renting golf carts, but I want to know if it's better to stay in the city or on the outskirts. My kids will appreciate the freedom to drive around, but I'm worried about the noise and chaos of the city center. From experience, do you regret staying in the city or on the outskirts? Would love input.

The town is very pedestrian-friendly. If you stay a short distance from the main downtown area, you can still find a quiet spot. I recommend staying in town and skipping the golf carts.

Walking in Sayulita takes no more than 20 minutes, even to the outskirts. You can easily access the beach, shops, and restaurants on foot, making it a great place to explore.

Staying two blocks from downtown puts you right in the heart of the action. I highly recommend renting a golf cart to get around, and I wish I had one at home to zip around with ease. A 10-foot walk to get tacos sounds like a dream come true.

The walk from the outskirts on the Southside to downtown can be a bit dull. I'd say Calle Libertad is the point where the town starts to feel more lively, maybe a block or two beyond that. The north side is also a great option, but if you're too far out, the walk can be tedious.
