San Blas Ramaderos Thrive Despite Storm Damage
San Blas residents and digital nomads living in Sayulita are experiencing a mix of economic opportunities and infrastructure challenges following a severe storm. Local restaurateurs are promoting the consumption of locally sourced food in enramadas (beachside eateries) while urging caution about beach access due to restricted entry.

Cariluz Aguilera, a leader of the local restaurant owners, stated in an interview that despite the hurricane Polo passing nearby, the severe sea waves caused significant damage to the road infrastructure in the second and third sections of Las Islitas. As a result, 35 beachside restaurants are affected.
She explained that the strong waves broke into the road, impacting 35 enramadas in the second and part of the third section of the beach. The authorities have not yet allowed beach access, warning of potential safety hazards. However, the local businesses are optimistic about the resilience of their community and continue to serve the community with their culinary offerings.
