Tenerife Revives Eólica Festival: A Musical and Educational Event Focused on Sustainability
After a decade-long hiatus, Tenerife is set to welcome back the ‘Eólica 2026’ festival. This event, held at the ITER facility, will feature 68 artists performing across four stages, blending electronic music with themes of sustainability, innovation, and artistic expression. The Cabildo of Tenerife emphasizes the festival’s cultural significance and its role in promoting public engagement with critical global challenges.

‘Eólica’ is not just a musical festival but an educational platform. Workshops on renewable energy, biodiversity, and responsible consumption habits will be offered. The festival will utilize energy directly from ITER’s renewable sources, including wind and solar, with any additional energy sourced from other renewable sources. Promoter Leo Mansito highlights that the event will showcase a diverse range of electronic music styles, providing a platform for both established artists and new talents from the Canary Islands.
This revival of Eólica is a significant step towards maintaining Santa Cruz de Tenerife’s reputation as a hub for sustainable and innovative practices. Residents and visitors should anticipate a unique blend of music and education, fostering a deeper connection with the island’s commitment to renewable energy and environmental awareness.
