It's time to celebrate the 18th Plenilunio in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with over 12 hours of activities spread across the city. As a fellow expat and remote worker who has settled in Tenerife for the sunny weather, I’m excited to share the lineup of fun and cultural events happening this Saturday.

Santa Cruz de Tenerife Brings the Party for 12+ Hours of Plenilunio Celebrations

Starting at 11:00, various locations will come alive with music, markets, and heritage site openings. Notable performances include Santora DJ, Daniela Garsal, and Lewis Potter on Avenida Marítima, and Lenny, Blue Ipanema, and Trío Zapatista at the Mercado de Nuestra Señora de África. From 11:00 to 20:00, the Capitanía General Palace will open its doors for a heritage day, and the Museum of Natural History and Archaeology (MUNA) will offer free entry with workshops and guided tours of the exhibition ‘Concomitancias’.

Family-friendly activities will be in abundance, with bouncy castles, sports games, and workshops at Parque Bulevar from 11:00 to 20:00. Children can also enjoy a play area in Príncipe and Valentín Sanz squares, with the Santa Cruz Artisan Market (ARTEFE) nearby. The Alameda del Duque de Santa Elena will have a large play area, and the Rambla de Santa Cruz will feature children’s workshops from 11:00 to 14:00. For a broader experience, the Le Good Market in Parque García Sanabria will be open until 23:59, and the traditional Canarian market will be in La Candelaria square.

Whether you're planning to enjoy the music, explore the heritage sites, or simply wander through the markets, Santa Cruz de Tenerife has something for everyone this Plenilunio. So, mark your calendars and get ready for a day of festivities!
