...Las Fiestas de San Rafael en Santa Lucía de Tirajana Se Salvan 'In Extremis'...
The fiestas de San Rafael de Vecindario in Santa Lucía de Tirajana, a coastal municipality in Gran Canaria, were saved 'in extremis' when the town hall decided to cancel the contract just one day before the festivities were set to begin. This decision forced organizers to quickly find alternatives and hire up to seven companies to cover the nearly 50 acts scheduled.

Cristina González Oliva, from the City of Santa Lucía de Tirajana, explained that the decision to cancel the contract came the day before the celebration to avoid legal issues and ensure the fiestas were carried out.
This cancellation resulted in the need for quick responses, leading to the hiring of several companies to handle musical, artistic, and production acts that are part of the fiestas.
'It's a moment of great tension', said Cristina González Oliva, 'but we are working tirelessly to ensure that the fiestas of San Rafael are held in the most optimal way possible.'
