Aemet Alert: Santa Cruz de Tenerife Faces Severe Heat Wave This Weekend
Canarias is facing another weekend characterized by high temperatures and dust storms. The National Meteorological Agency (Aemet) predicts that temperatures could exceed 34 degrees Celsius in interior and coastal areas of Gran Canaria this Saturday, while temperatures of 30 degrees Celsius will be widespread across the rest of the islands.

- The islands of La Palma, Lanzarote, and Fuerteventura will also experience high temperatures, with some locations potentially reaching over 32 degrees Celsius.
- The heat will be more intense in inland areas, where temperatures could reach up to 36 degrees Celsius.
- Aemet has advised residents and tourists to take preventive measures such as drinking fluids regularly, using sunshades and reflective clothing, and avoiding outdoor exercise during the hottest parts of the day.
