New York’s Analog Photo Booth Museum Makes a Splash in Toronto
After making waves in New York City, the iconic Autophoto museum has found a new home in Toronto, bringing its collection of black-and-white analog photo booths and a century of photo booth history to Queen Street West.

The museum, featuring six classic booths and a unique Polaroid booth, also includes a gallery showcasing the rich history of photo booths, including the Phototeria, an invention from Toronto in 1928. Founder Breanna Conley Saxon, a dual citizen, hopes to connect locals and visitors with the history and ingenuity behind these machines.
“Queen Street West has such a strong connection to art, music, fashion, and independent creative businesses,” says Conley Saxon. “We wanted Autophoto to be somewhere people could discover it naturally, and this neighbourhood felt like the perfect fit.”
This expansion adds a new dimension to Toronto’s cultural scene, offering a unique experience for both residents and visitors. If you’re in the area, consider stopping by for a nostalgic photo session or a lesson in the history of analog photography.
