I run a small cafe in Da Nang and I'm planning a Laos border visa run this month with 2 people. We prefer the bus route but have had inconsistent experiences with different companies.

If you're considering a bus run, Lynn Visa is a good option. Their buses are comfortable and the experience is hassle-free. I've used them once and had no issues. The buses are well-maintained and the drivers are professional.

Lynn Visa seems like a convenient choice for traveling to Cambodia.

I've crossed the Cambodia border at a small crossing on both sides. The officials were friendly and willing to listen. I was able to get a stamp in a convenient location. To make the process smoother, I placed a 50,000 kip note inside my passport. This helped when I needed a specific page. If you're running low on passport pages, you can get a new one from an embassy quickly. Your home country might also have a fast-track process for new passports.

I think I made a mistake earlier - the Lynn Visa run is actually at the Laos border. I'm glad to hear that the officials were friendly. If you're planning to use the Lynn Visa run, it's a good idea to have some local currency, like a 50,000 kip note, ready to help facilitate the process. On the Vietnam side, they might inspect your passport again, so it's best to be prepared. You can place the note inside your passport or leave it on the table, but it's best to follow local customs and protocols.
