Puerto Morelos Sees Historic Investment and Progress
Blanca Merari, the president of Puerto Morelos, presented her second term government report highlighting an unprecedented 126 million pesos investment in infrastructure and services in 2026. The report also emphasized 15 new projects, including 15 additional patrol cars, two drones, and six new surveillance points. The municipality also launched a new Seguridad Ciudadana complex with 20 million pesos state investment, and launched a new program for women.

The news caught the attention of the governor and the local community.
Merari also mentioned the municipality's efforts in improving security, enhancing the well-being of its residents, promoting tourism, protecting the environment, and managing finances. She highlighted the arrival of 91 new police officers, the establishment of a Police of Proximity Tourism, and the rehabilitation of four surveillance stations. Additionally, she noted the creation of the Seguridad Ciudadana complex, which will be completed with a 20 million peso state investment on a 2,194 square meter municipal plot.
