Calgary Flames Players Show Off Spooky Halloween Costumes and Team Spirit
It’s not just on the ice where the Calgary Flames are making a statement; their Halloween shenanigans have been nothing short of impressive. On October 15, 2026, the Flames celebrated their recent win over the Carolina Hurricanes with a creative Halloween party, and the costumes they wore showcased both their playful side and their unbreakable team bond.

One of the standout costumes was by Yegor Sharangovich and his wife, Darya. Sharangovich, known as 'Sharky,' dressed as a shark, while Darya dressed as a fisherwoman, bringing the theme to life in a fitting way. Zayne Parekh also joined in the fun, donning a similar shark costume. Joel Farabee and Morgan Frost took the spirit of the night to heart, dressing as Batman and the Joker, respectively, adding a bit of comic relief to the festivities.
It wasn't just the players who were having fun; captain Mikael Backlund and his wife, Frida, dressed as characters from the popular video game Super Mario, with Backlund as Bowser and Frida as Princess Peach. The best costumes of the night, however, belonged to Adam Klapka and Martin Pospisil, who dressed as Gru and Vector from Despicable Me, and Sam Honzek, who dressed as Mario. These costumes brought laughter and showcased the team’s creativity and camaraderie.
