I'm moving to Puerto Vallarta with a 30,000 pesos monthly salary, and I'm worried it's not enough. I'm a gay man, and I'd like to find love here. I also want to sell my homemade pastries as a side income. What do you think?

Most people live here on half or less of that, so if you know how to manage your finances, you'll be fine.

It depends on where you're coming from, but 30,000 pesos is considered low if you're used to living a luxurious lifestyle. However, it's not impossible to make ends meet. You might need to consider living in Bahía de Banderas or sharing an apartment to afford rent in Puerto Vallarta. The city is small, so distances are short, and some neighborhoods are more affordable than others.

It's the gay capital, so you'll have no problem finding love. And 30,000 pesos is well above the average wage.

I'm not from Puerto Vallarta, but I visit often and will be moving there soon. From my experience, it's a great place to meet people. There's a weekly gay gathering that's a great opportunity to socialize. The Zona Romántica and city center are more expensive and touristy, but other neighborhoods, like those north of Río Pitillal, are more authentic and reasonably priced for essentials like rent and food.
