Women Can Now Request Female Uber Drivers in Puerto Vallarta
The sun was just beginning to set, casting a warm orange glow over Zona Romantica when I heard my phone buzz. A notification from Uber popped up, offering a new option: 'Women can now request female drivers.' I couldn't help but smile, the light from the nearby market reflecting off the cobblestone streets, painting everything in a soft golden hue.

Running a small bakery in Basilio Badillo, I’ve seen the benefits and challenges of living in Puerto Vallarta. Safety is a top concern, especially for women. This new feature from Uber is a small but significant step in addressing that concern. As I sipped my coffee, the smell of fresh bread from my bakery wafted through the air, mingling with the scent of the market. Perhaps tonight, my evening delivery could be a little safer.
Zona Romantica resident since 2019. Runs a small bakery on Basilio Badillo.
