Puerto Morelos Publishes Historical Book for Students and Immigrants
Blanca Merari, the mayor of Puerto Morelos, announced the arrival of a didactic history book for schools. The material, which aims to mark the tenth anniversary of the municipality, seeks to foster knowledge and pride in the locality among primary and secondary school students.

The book, titled 'Así nació mi municipio: colorea, descubre, juega y aprende', presents various moments of local history and addresses aspects such as natural wealth, Maya presence, and the work of chicle harvesters. It aims to have girls, boys, and adolescents know their history and feel proud to be portomorelenses. The director of the Municipal Education Institute, Sara Eugenia Sánchez Canul, informed that more than 3,000 copies will be distributed among primary and secondary education students.
Blanca Merari highlighted the importance of preserving and disseminating Puerto Morelos' identity, a initiative that forms part of the celebrations for the tenth anniversary of the municipality's creation.
