Puerto Morelos Offers 100% Discount on Predial Taxes

Puerto Morelos is giving residents a big break on past due predial taxes. The city council has approved a 100% discount on predial tax penalties for vacant lots and residential properties during two special discount periods in November and December 2026.

Blanca Merari Tziu Muñoz, the mayor, says these measures will help families and businesses stay up to date on their tax obligations. The discounts will apply to unpaid predial taxes from previous years.

For the Jornada de Descuentos del Buen Fin, residents can take advantage from November 3 to 30. Then, the Jornada Ahorrando Pagando runs from December 1 to 31. You can find more details at the municipal treasury or by contacting the tax office.
