Glai Baan is mentioned alongside another Thai food place, Lom Wongs, as one of the best options in Phoenix. It's worth noting that Glai Baan is often packed, so you may want to check out a newer alternative called Bangrak in midtown, which has a similar concept and is never crowded.

Condesa has excellent nachos, with green chili chicken enchiladas and shrimp asada plate also getting rave reviews. Located in downtown Phoenix at Central & Monroe, it's easily accessible and has a huge serving size that can feed 2-3 people.

The Uptown Farmers Market has really good produce, with McClendon's having the best local produce that lasts much longer than grocery store produce. It's located in an area where you can also explore other attractions, and you can get a good sense of the community by visiting the market.

Looking for proper North Indian food, especially grilled and tandoori-style dishes, Bahara is my recommendation. They have fantastic tandoori chicken, garlic naan, and lentil curry (dal).

Kids under 10 eat free with adult entree at Chompie's on Tuesdays. It's located on 32nd St & Cactus.

The Stockyards is a great choice for an upscale dining experience with a sports twist. I love it for what it would be, but I’d definitely not call it upscale. Located in Scottsdale, The Stockyards is a great option for a birthday celebration with a nice dinner and sports viewing.
