Why isn't Costco gas cheaper than other stations anymore?

I've been a member of Costco for years and have always noticed that their gas prices are lower than other stations. However, in the past few weeks, I've noticed that their prices are the same as many other gas stations. I've checked at the Chandler and Gilbert locations and it's not just a one-time thing. Has anyone else experienced this?

GasBuddy has shown that prices can vary significantly between different stations. I'm not sure what's going on now.

They don't guarantee the lowest price, but they still monitor local competition and adjust prices accordingly. The fluctuating oil market and Phoenix's complex gasoline requirements also play a role.

Additionally, Costco sells top-tier gasoline, which is a higher quality than what Sam's Club and other stations sell. That's worth considering when deciding where to fill up.

I still buy my gas on 7th Avenue because it's convenient for me. I figure we're all going to get taken advantage of no matter where we go, so I'll give my money to the company that pays its employees well.
