I'm still thinking about her 30 years later and I'd love to reconnect with her or her family to express my gratitude.

You might want to check if there are any local alumni groups for those schools. That's usually a good place to find people who went there and might have information about the teacher.

I think it's wonderful that you're trying to find your old teacher. As someone who's worked in education, I can tell you that this kind of connection can be really meaningful for both parties.

I recently looked for a teacher I had in school, and I found their name in the school board's budget approvals online. It was a bit of a long shot, but it worked for me.

If you have old yearbooks from the school, they might be available online. It's worth checking.

You can also try contacting the school librarian to see if they have any old yearbooks or if they know of any other resources that might be helpful.
