Palm at Hard Rock Hotel is a fantastic steak house that's small / intimate enough that it would be great for a bday dinner. They'll validate your valet parking and then it's a nice 15-20 minute stroll along the river from the hotel to HRL. You can usually catch the water taxi back after the show if you'd like, which leaves from the other side of the lagoon.

Secret's Hideaway is a great option if you're looking for a modern and romantic hotel with a spacious shower. It has a shower that comfortably fits two people, making it a perfect fit for couples. It's a bit more luxurious than what you're looking for, but it's definitely worth considering if you want to splurge a bit. It's a boutique hotel, so it's not a massive chain hotel, but rather a smaller, more intimate experience.
