Whale and Dolphin Festival Brings Eco-Adventure to Nosara
The first Guanacaste Whale and Dolphin Festival is coming to Playa Flamingo in Santa Cruz, featuring whale-watching tours, an immersive museum, and educational workshops. As an expat owner of a surf school in Nosara, I'm excited about the opportunities this event brings for local businesses and the community.
The festival runs from August 28 to 30, offering guided tours and a chance to explore the temporary museum at Marina Flamingo. With humpback whales migrating to these bays for breeding, it's a perfect time for visitors to experience the marine life up close.
Local food is a highlight for me, and I love how this event integrates with the community. For instance, the cleanup activities on Sunday morning are a great way to enjoy the beach while doing good. The festival also includes a folk performance, making it a fun and educational weekend for all.
