I've taken the bus from Sayulita to PV twice with a male friend, but now I'm going solo and wondering if it's safe.

The bus is a reliable option. The fare from Puerto Vallarta is now around 70-80 pesos, which is significantly less than a ride-hailing service. In fact, it's more than $2 but still a fraction of the cost of an Uber.

I've taken the bus numerous times and have never had any issues. As long as you're not causing a disturbance, most people will be too busy chatting with their companion, the bus driver, or staring at their phones to pay much attention to you. Taking the bus is a common mode of transportation for locals, who are simply trying to get to work. It's perfectly safe to take the bus during the day, especially in this region.

A ride-hailing service like Uber can cost between 600-900 pesos to get to Sayulita. I recently took one last week, and it was a convenient option.

When we were unable to get an Uber, we decided to take a taxi instead. We negotiated a price with the driver, and it ended up being around 900 pesos, which was similar to what we would have paid for an Uber.

I regularly take the bus alone during the winter months, and I've never felt threatened or uncomfortable. The bus is a safe and reliable way to get around.

I frequently use the bus to get around Sayulita. I've never had any unusual or unpleasant experiences. The taxi industry in Sayulita has made it difficult for ride-hailing services like Uber to operate in the area.

I've taken the bus at various times of day and evening, and I've always felt comfortable. If you have the time, taking the bus can be a cost-effective option.
