Family Fun at the Vallarta Botanical Garden: Fiesta Mexicana on Sept. 15
On Tuesday, September 15, 2026, the Vallarta Botanical Garden will host its annual Fiesta Mexicana, offering a family-friendly celebration from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This event is a great option for those looking to enjoy a festive day away from the crowded downtown area.

Visitors can look forward to traditional Mexican games like Lotería, a mechanical bull for the kids, and delicious antojitos (street food). Traditional drinks and the Grito de Independencia (Cry of Independence) will also be part of the program. General admission is 300 pesos, but Garden members will enter free. To purchase tickets, head over to the Garden’s Instagram account @vbgardens. The garden is located in Puerto Vallarta’s south zone, about a 30-minute drive from Old Town.
It’s worth noting that the garden will be closed on Wednesday, September 16, for Independence Day celebrations, so plan your visit accordingly. Pack plenty of water, sun protection, and some cash for snacks, as the area can be quite hot and you might want to enjoy some refreshments.
