I need to board my two cats during the holidays for about six days, one of which requires daily medication for a heart condition. Any recommendations?

It's a good idea to ask your veterinarian for advice on pet care services. In my case, I was able to board my cat at her vet's facility while I was working on my home.

When it comes to cats on heart medication, boarding at a vet's facility is often the safest option. This is because they can closely monitor your cat's medication and prevent any potential complications.

If you're considering boarding your pet, look for a vet clinic that offers boarding services and can keep an eye on any medication your pet needs. We had a great experience at Riverwalk Pet Hospital in Grapevine, and we'd definitely go back.

Chastain Vet on Preston and LBJ is great for boarding cats, especially those with special needs.

I used to work with Sue Chastain in Houston back in the early 1990s. She's an exceptional person and a wonderful colleague.

We've been taking our pets to see Dr. Sue for many years, and she's always provided top-notch care.

As a pet sitter on Rover, I've had experience giving medication to cats. If your cat is relatively easy to medicate, you might consider hiring a Rover sitter. Keep in mind that boarding facilities often keep cats in small cages, which can be stressful for them.

Cat Connection on Spring Valley is a great option for cat boarding, they specialize in it and the staff is friendly.
