My sister just broke her ankle and was discharged from the ER north of Montreal. The doctor said she needs to wear a tall boot (an Aircast/walking boot, according to the prescription). They suggested two shops, but they are quite far from downtown.

If you're looking to order one online, you might be able to find a suitable option. I've had a good experience with a knee brace from a store in Ontario, which delivered quickly - often within a day. Alternatively, you could try shopping on Amazon. If you prefer to shop in person, JE Hangar in NDG is a good place to check out. Keep in mind that the price may be a bit steep, but you can claim it as a medical expense on your income tax by saving the receipt.

I'll definitely look into shopping online for a knee brace. Thank you for the suggestion.

When purchasing a knee brace, it's a good idea to try on different sizes to ensure a proper fit. The staff at the hospital where I bought mine were also able to show me how to properly secure my foot. The total cost was $170.

That makes sense to me. Thank you for the advice.

You can usually find knee braces at the hospital, specifically in the area near the fracture clinic. My experience was that the price was around $200.

Westmount Square has an orthopedics shop located near the Radimed.

If you're looking for a place to buy a knee brace, you might want to check out the store on St-Laurent. They have a good selection of orthopedic products.
