Co-working Spaces: Affordable Single Occupancy Offices or Desks with Window in LA?
Coworking 5 answers • Willem Dijkstra
I'm a young attorney working remotely and my boss is willing to pay for a co-working space, but I'm not sure if I want to spend $1,500 on a single occupancy office with a window. I've also seen options for a single desk in a shared office room for $300 + $300 security deposit + $20 monthly coffee fee, or a single office room with no window for $560. I live in West Hollywood and am open to commuting up to 40 minutes.

Have you considered Regus or possibly a space in Long Beach?

Rita House offers permanent desks for around $350 per month, but I'm not sure about the cost of a private suite since I only needed a desk.

I'm in a similar situation, and I've thought about leasing a larger space, then finding others to share an office or permanent desk with, without the extra costs of coworking spaces. I've seen a few options in Hollywood, but I'll likely start looking in earnest in January.

You might find a suitable location in a strip mall in the neighborhood.

He should be able to find a suitable space in Central LA, as the vacancy rate for Class A office space is approximately 50%.
