Hey Isla Mujeres residents and fellow expats, I’ve got some exciting news to share with you! The world-renowned footballer César 'Chicharito' Díaz, who has been making waves in the youth teams on Isla Mujeres, is set to debut with Toluca's first team.
According to the latest reports, Díaz, who has been scoring goals left and right for the Toluca Sub-21 team, is now in the sights of the team's head coach Antonio Mohamed. With three goals in five matches, all as a starter, Díaz has proven his worth and is now poised to make his mark in the senior team.
For those of us who have seen him in action on the island, it’s incredible to see his talent shine. Díaz’s journey from Ejidatarios de Bonfil to now being a potential star with Toluca is a reflection of his hard work and dedication. His debut could come sooner rather than later, making it an exciting time for football fans in the area.
