We're planning to redo our living room and need help deciding between Pottery Barn, West Elm, Crate & Barrel, and CB2. We like some CB2 pieces but they don't have a store in Calgary, so we'd have to order online without seeing everything in person. We're looking for a sofa/sectional, swivel chairs, ottomans, coffee table, rug, and possibly accent pieces. We have young kids, so durability and easy maintenance matter too.

I'm thoroughly unimpressed with the big-box stores in Calgary. They all seem to be selling low-quality, mass-produced furniture. In contrast, EQ3 offers high-quality, Canadian-made products, and their sales associates are knowledgeable and helpful. Additionally, EQ3 often provides bigger discounts when you purchase multiple items.

I'm a big fan of EQ3. They're happy to work with customers to create custom orders, and their products are made from high-quality materials. The fact that they're a Canadian company is also a plus.

We had a bad experience with one of the big-box stores in Calgary. They messed up our couch order, charged us more than the correct price, and refused to give us a full refund.

I think some of the popular furniture brands in Calgary are overpriced and offer poor quality products. What's worse is that many of them are American companies. In my experience, Crate and Barrel and CB2 have been particularly disappointing, with slow shipping and inaccurate shipping estimates.

I have two leather swivel chairs from EQ3 going on 10 years old and they still look brand new.

I've had a great experience with Birchwood, a locally owned furniture store in Calgary. They offer custom-made products at a lower price point than many of the big-box stores, and they have hundreds of fabric choices to choose from. In fact, I have a 13-year-old sectional from Birchwood that still looks like new.
